Cottage Pie

Ingredients

300 gram sweet potatoes -- Peeled

1 vegetable stock cube

dash of Worcestershire sauce

200 gram extra lean minced beef

1 onion -- Chopped

1 clove garlice, crushed

2 carrot -- Large, grated

1 tablespoon gravy granules

Directions

  • Cut the sweet potatoes into small chunks and boil in water with the veg stock cube, when soft drain and mash them with a little milk - save some of the water for the gravy.
  • Meanwhile preheat the oven to 200C.
  • In a frying pan dry fry the onions, garlic, and minced beef together. Add in the worcestershore sauce, ravy granules which have been mixed in a jug with 300ml of the water from the boiled sweet potatoes, and the grated carrots.
  • Place the mixture in an oven-proof dish and arrange the mash on top. Put it in the oven for 20 minutes.
