Joy's ginger cake

Ingredients

3 ounce icing sugar

1½ ounce margarine for icing

syrup from the stem ginger

4 ounce margarine -- melted in the microwave- but not too runny

4 ounce golden syrup

4 ounce caster sugar

6 ounce self-raising flour

1 egg

1 tablespoon ground ginger

¼ pint milk

unknown stem ginger

Directions

  • Fold in the flour.
  • Place in oven at 160C for about 40 minutes or more
