Steak fajitas
Ingredients
500 gram beef steak -- best beef you can find, sliced into thin strips
2 onion -- large, sliced
2 clove garlic -- crushed
1 red pepper -- sliced
1 green pepper -- sliced
1 green chilli -- optional, thinly sliced
½ teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon ground coriander
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
½ teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoon lemon juice
2 tablespoon tequila -- optional - could use sherry
1 package flour tortillas
Directions
- Heat oil in a large frying pan and when hot throw in the thinly sliced beef and fry briskly for a good 5 minutes.
- Add in the onions and garlic and saute, then add in the sliced up peppers.
- Add the spices and lemon juice and tequila if using.
